A seafood travel experience inspired by sea turtles

Pesca Blue

Our Philosophy

Pesca Blue promotes responsible seafood consumerism in northwest Mexico by partnering with small-scale fishers to reduce bycatch and support conservation. Fishers rotate between sustainable methods, like Suripera nets for shrimp and double-ring live traps for swimming crab, but also use drift gillnets for pelagic sharks—our biggest challenge.

Through your purchases of sustainably wild-caught shrimp and crab, we incentivize fishers to report sea turtle bycatch, enabling researchers to develop strategies to reduce it for five endangered species. Together, we aim to transform shark fishing into research-driven, catch-and-release practices to protect marine life.

Our Scientific Team

Your seafood purchase helps support vital research to reduce and mitigate the impact of bycatch to five species of sea turtles.
